Hi Bethany - I hope this doesn't sound like I'm stalking you or something, but I was doing a search and ran across your comment on another blog, about wanting a modern quilt guild in Atlanta. I just wanted to let you know that Atlanta does have a modern guild now that is steadily growing. If you haven't found us already, our website is http://atlantamodernquiltguild.webs.com/ - you can find all kinds of info there. We have one last meeting at Whipstitch in Atlanta on September 12, then we will be meeting at Tiny Stitches for the next six months (up in Marietta). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, but we'd love it if you could join us! (Also, we are free - no dues!!).
On a side note, I love your blog. It sounds like we have a lot in common - I plan on homeschooling my son, too. And I've only been sewing for almost two years and I'm just now venturing into garment sewing for myself!! ~Andi
I am married to a wonderful man and we have four children ages 6 and younger. I stay home with my kids and homeschool the oldest, though it is hard to find the time to fit it in between dishes, cleaning, napping, and errands! I started sewing in October 2008, and have made several large quilts in the time! I have started to make clothes for my kids and I want to make some for myself, but haven't gotten up enough courage to do that yet.
Thanks for entering my giveaway and good luck!
